The National Weather Service in Mount Holly NJ has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for... Northern Atlantic County in southern New Jersey... Central Ocean County in southern New Jersey... Central Camden County in southern New Jersey... Burlington County in southern New Jersey...

* Until 1215 AM EDT.

* At 1130 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Lumberton, or 15 miles east of Camden, moving southeast at 40 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Damage to roofs, siding, trees, and power lines is possible.

* Locations impacted include... Toms River, Evesham, Mount Laurel, Willingboro, Voorhees, Medford, Hammonton, Lumberton, Florence, Beachwood, Burlington, Bristol, Mount Holly, Tabernacle, Shamong, Presidential Lakes Estates, Tullytown, Pemberton, Wrightstown and Florence-Roebling. This includes the following highways... New Jersey Turnpike between exits 4 and 6A. Interstate 295 in New Jersey between mile markers 38 and 55. Garden State Parkway between mile markers 75 and 81.

* AFFECTED AREAS: ATLANTIC, NJ ... BURLINGTON, NJ ... CAMDEN, NJ ... OCEAN, NJ

Instructions:

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. In addition to large hail and damaging winds, frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
