Flood Advisory until 12:00AM Thursday

The National Weather Service in Blacksburg has issued a

* Flood Advisory for... Central Greenbrier County in southeastern West Virginia...

* Until midnight EDT.

* At 855 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include... Renick... Falling Spring... Trout... Williamsburg... Leonard... Frankford... Rorer... This includes the following streams and drainages... Boggs Run, Mill Creek, Dry Run, Burns Run, Fitzwater Branch, Meadow River, Cold Knob Fork, Little Clear Creek, Greenbrier River, Big Run, Kincaid Run, Anthony Creek, Laurel Creek, Joe Knob Branch and Beaver Creek. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.

* AFFECTED AREAS: GREENBRIER, WV
