BRUSH PICKUP WILL OCCUR MONDAY, JULY 12TH IN ADDITION TO TUESDAY, JULY 13TH
We have received many inquiries regarding pickup of storm damaged brush and branches. The Department of Public Works has already removed a significant amount of brush and branches in conjunction with clearing roads. However residents should be reminded that brush, yard waste, and branches up to 4' in length/4" in diameter may be placed curbside every Tuesday for collection. Due to the volume of material currently on the ground the Department of Public Works will begin picking up brush and branches this MONDAY, JULY 12TH and continue through the end of the day TUESDAY, JULY 13TH. Please take the time to review the Borough Garbage and Recycling Calendar for regulations on proper preparation of brush and branches for collection. Properly prepared brush and branches should be:
- Not more than 4' in length
- Not more than 4" in diameter
- Bundled with a natural fiber twine in bundles of 50lbs or less OR
- Placed in a container which can be dumped and returned to the curbside
- Placed curbside not later than 6:00 a.m. on the day of collection
