Officers and investigators of the Jackson Police Department are investigating a shooting that occurred at the Old Hickory Mall located at 2021 N. Highland Ave.
July 12th at approximately 3:55 PM, officers and investigators of the Jackson Police Department responded to the mall in reference to a subject that had been shot. Responding officers located a victim who sustained what appeared to be a non-life-threatening injury. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Jackson Police do not believe the incident was a random act of violence but a targeted act of violence. The victim in this incident was also the same victim from a recent shooting on E. Forest. In the earlier shooting incident, the victim refused to talk with officers or investigators.
