Deputies arrested Charles Lamar Pam for assault with a firearm

SUMMARY: On Tuesday, July 6, 2021, at 7:35 p.m., deputies assigned to The City of Loma Linda, responded to a call for service reference the report of an assault with a firearm at Oasis Townhomes, located at 25590 Prospect Avenue in the incorporated City of Loma Linda. During the investigation, the victim reported she was involved in a physical altercation with her boyfriend, identified as Charles Lamar Pam. Following the altercation, Pam armed himself with a handgun and pointed it at the victim. The victim, in fear for her life, fled the location in her vehicle.
Through further investigation, it was revealed Pam was a convicted felon and is prohibited from owning or possessing a firearm. Subsequently, an arrest warrant and search warrant were authored and approved. With assistance from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Special Enforcement Division (SED), the search warrant was served at Pam’s residence. During the search warrant, an untraceable “ghost” handgun was recovered.
During the service of the search warrant, Pam was contacted at the residence. Pam was arrested for PC245(a)(2) – Assault with a Firearm and was transported to Central Detention Center where he is being held in lieu of $150,000 bail.
