INCIDENT: P.C. 25850(c)(2)- Possession of a Stolen Firearm, P.C. 25400(a)(1) - Carry Concealed Weapon in Vehicle, P.C. 25850 (a) - Carry Loaded Firearm in Public Place, P.C. 25850(c)(6) - Carry Loaded Firearm and Not the Owner
 
LOCATION: N. Del Rosa Avenue / E. Date Place, San Bernardino  
 
SUSPECT: Derek Braddock, 20-year-old resident of San Bernardino  
 
VICTIM:     People of the State of California
 
 
SUMMARY:
On Tuesday, July 13, 2021, at approximately 11:37 a.m., Deputy Price from the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department's Central Station, conducted a traffic enforcement stop on a red Ford sedan with expired registration. Price contacted Derek Braddock, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle. Braddock had active warrants and was arrested. During a search of the vehicle incident to arrest, Price located a loaded .380 caliber Kimber Micro handgun in the center console of the vehicle. The handgun was stolen out of Las Vegas, Nevada. 
 
In addition to the warrants, Braddock was arrested and booked into the Center Detention Center for new charges of violating P.C. 25850(c)(2)- Possession of a Stolen Firearm, P.C. 25400(a)(1) - Carry Concealed Weapon in Vehicle, P.C. 25850 (a) - Carry Loaded Firearm in Public Place, P.C. 25850(c)(6) - Carry Loaded Firearm and Not the Owner.
