Presidential Disaster Declaration due to June flooding

Good news in a troubling situation: As of 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 15, President Biden has issued a presidential disaster declaration for Wayne County, including Dearborn, following the storms of June 25-26. This will bring assistance to individuals and households, The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will be coordinating efforts to help residents directly.

Congresswoman Debbie Dingell and Mayor John O'Reilly will be working with FEMA to present a Town Hall to provide residents with information on how to apply for financial assistance. More details coming soon.

Chief Ronald Haddad said, “We will help ensure our entire community has access to the proper FEMA assistance.  We will also assist the community by providing information in multiple languages.  Dearborn’s Public Safety Teams stand ready to provide superior service to residents during the ongoing recovery efforts”.
