Synopsis:       
On Wednesday, July 15, 2021, at 1:15 a.m., an adult male was shot while standing outside near the 500 Block of S. Riverside Ave.
 
On Wednesday, July 15, 2021, at approximately 1:15 a.m. the Rialto Police Department received several 9-1-1 emergency calls reporting a shooting victim near the 500 block of S. Riverside Ave., in the city of Rialto. When officers arrived, they located an adult male suffering from a single gunshot wound to the stomach. 
 
Through investigation, officers identified Raul Lopez as the suspect.  Shortly after, officers located Lopez driving a silver Chevrolet Malibu in the area of Cactus Ave. and Randall Ave.  Lopez was stopped by officers and taken into custody without incident at 2:30 a.m. During a search of Lopez’ vehicle, officers recovered two loaded handguns.
 
Lopez was booked into the West Valley Detention Center for PC 664/187 – Attempted Murder and is being held on a $1,000,000 dollar bail.
 
The victim was transported to a local hospital and is in stable condition.
