The National Weather Service in Detroit/Pontiac has issued a
* Flood Warning for... Wayne County in southeastern Michigan...
* Until 515 PM EDT Friday.
* At 1104 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Flooding is already occurring in the warned area. Up to 1.5 inches of rain has fallen.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include... Livonia, Taylor, Romulus, Flat Rock, Grosse Pointe, Canton, Downtown Detroit, Detroit, Dearborn, Wyandotte, Trenton, Grosse Ile, Northville, Belleville, Greenfield Village, Belle Isle, Westland, Dearborn Heights, Lincoln Park and Southgate. Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are expected in the warned area today. Additional road closures are likely for parts of Wayne County.
* AFFECTED AREAS: WAYNE, MI
