Alabama Highway 40 Closure Notification 
The Alabama Department of Transportation has notified this office of the closing of Alabama Highway 40 in Jackson County at the top of the mountain near Tacobet Flea Market. This roadway will close tonight at 6 PM and will remain closed until Monday morning at 6 AM at the earliest. Please make alternate travel arrangement to avoid this roadway during this timeframe. Alabama Department of Transportation will notify this office once the roadway is reopened.
