Flood Warning until 05:15PM
At 221 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated an area of very heavy rainfall across the warned area. Up to 2.5 inches of rain have already fallen across Wayne County. Some locations that will experience flooding include... Livonia, Taylor, Romulus, Flat Rock, Grosse Pointe, Canton, Downtown Detroit, Detroit, Dearborn, Wyandotte, Trenton, Grosse Ile, Northville, Belleville, Greenfield Village, Belle Isle, Westland, Dearborn Heights, Lincoln Park and Southgate. MDOT is still reporting areas of flooding on I-75, I-94, and I-96 in Detroit. Additional rainfall up to 1 inch is possible through the remainder of the afternoon. This rainfall may result in additional minor flooding and will slow the speed water is receding off local roadways.
