Residents are advised to stay vigilant overnight and be proactive to protect their property and vehicles as the potential exists for another heavy downfall in Dearborn. The emergency siren may be activated to alert residents to check their basements for sewer backups and make sure their parked vehicles are not affected by street flooding.
Unlike when the sirens sound for snow emergencies, the sirens for flood alerts do not indicate that parking enforcement will take place.
