A phone bank has been set up by the Grundy County Emergency Management Agency to collect data with regard to Western Grundy County residents that have structural damage due to the flooding that occurred on July 12 and 13, 2021. The primary area identified as: south of the Illinois River and north of Gardner Road, west of Ward Road and east of LaSalle County Line. The Grundy County Emergency Management Agency is requesting that any residents with structural flood damage, including damage to water heaters, furnaces, central air units, and other major appliances, call the phone bank at (815) 941-3212 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 21 through Friday July 23, for a short interview. If no one answers, please leave a voicemail for a follow-up phone call.
This information will be gathered and submitted to the Illinois Emergency Management Agency, who will ultimately share it with FEMA to determine if Grundy County is eligible for federal financial assistance due to this flooding incident.
