On July 20, 2021, at 9:19 p.m. Gibson County Central Dispatch received a report of a motorcycle traveling at excessively high speeds on Interstate 69 near the 33-mile marker.  Deputy Bryce Jutzi and Oakland City Officer John Pace observed a vehicle matching the caller’s description and attempted to stop the vehicle at the State Road 64 and Interstate 69 intersection.  However. the motorcycle continued at an extremely high rate of speed before ultimately being stopped at the 40.5 mile marker.  The driver 33-year-old Cory Folsom of Winslow was taken into custody.  During a search of Mr. Folsom and the motorcycle Marijuana and Methamphetamines were discovered.  Mr. Folsom was transported to the Gibson County Sheriff’s Office where he was charged with Possession of Methamphetamines, Possession of Marijuana, Driving While Suspended, and Reckless Driving.  He has since posted a $750 bond.
