On July 22nd at 2:03pm, The Vigo County Sheriff’s Office responded to a motor vehicle crash at the intersection of St Rd 63 and Trinity Av in northwestern Vigo County. A pickup truck driven by Earl Kelsheimer 19 of West Terre Haute was westbound on Trinity Av and was attempting to cross St Rd 63. The truck crossed the northbound lanes and stopped in the crossover. Kelshiemer told deputies that he did not see any oncoming traffic, so he proceeded west, crashing into a southbound passenger car driven by Alexander Rodie 32 of West Terre Haute. Alexander was unfortunately pronounced dead at the scene. Kelsheimer, and a passenger in the car, Victoria Donna, were both transported to Union Hospital for treatment.
