Assisting agencies were Tribal Police, Dowagiac Police, Pride care Ambulance Service, Vbems Ambulance Service, Marcellus Ambulance service, and Sister Lakes Fire Department.
3 Injured In Crash 
Sheriff Richard J. Behnke of the Cass County Sheriff's Office reports that his office responded to a two vehicle crash at the intersection of M-51 and M-152 in Silver Creek Township, Cass County, Michigan. This crash occurred on 07/24/2021 at approximately 1732 hours.
Initial investigation shows that the driver of the Chevy Sonic driven by Christina Gindelberger (39 year old Dowagiac, MI resident) was headed east bound on M-152 when she pulled out in front of the Ford pickup truck headed south bound on M-51. The driver of the Ford pickup truck is William Strand (51 year old Gobles, MI resident) he was unable to stop and collided with the side of her vehicle sending them both off the roadway. Christina along with her son Lamar Jackson (15 year old Dowagiac, MI resident) were taken to the Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo for their injuries by Pride care ambulance service. A passenger in the vehicle with William Strand Charlotte Valentine (71 year old Gobles, MI resident) was transported to Borgess Lee Memorial in Dowagiac for her injuries by the Marcellus Ambulance service. Everyone involved was wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash. Alcohol is not believed to be factor in this crash.
