The Janesville Police Department announces the hiring of nine police officers that started on July 26, 2021.
 
Officer Koty R. Agnes is from Beloit, WI.  He graduated from the University of Wisconsin Platteville in May 2019 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminial Justice. He will be attending the Blackhawk Technical College Police Academy in August 2021.  Mr. Agnes recently worked as an interim account manager for Securitas.
 
Officer Devyn D. Austin-Johnson is from Beloit, WI.  He graduated from Northern Michigan University in June 2021 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminial Justice. He will be attending the Blackhawk Technical College Police Academy in August 2021.  Mr. Austin-Johnson recently worked as a corrections officer for the Marquette County Sheriff’s Office.
 
Officer Vernon C. Davis is from Janesville, WI.  He attended the University of Wisconsin Whitewater and Blackhawk Technical College working towards a degree in Criminal Jiustice. He will be attending the Blackhawk Technical College Police Academy in August 2021.  Mr. Davis recently worked as freshman boys basketball coach for Parker High School and as a product selector for Upper Lakes Foods.
 
Officer Michael A. Feirn is from Janesville, WI.  He graduated from the University of Wisconsin Whitewater in May 2020 with an Associate of Arts Degree in Criminology. He is currently attending UW Platteville and is working towards his Bachelors of Science Degree. He will be attending the Blackhawk Technical College Police Academy in August 2021.  Mr. Feirn recently worked with Brodhead Police Department and Connell Construction.
 
Officer Jacob A. Heinen is from Janesville, WI.  He graduated from the University of Wisconsin Whitewater in May 2020 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminial Justice. He will be attending the Blackhawk Technical College Police Academy in August 2021.  Mr. Heinen recently worked as a custom protection officer for G4S Security Solutions.
 
Officer Ty W. Mueller is from Janesville, WI.  He graduated from the University of Wisconsin Whitewater in May 2019 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminology. He will be attending the Blackhawk Technical College Police Academy in August 2021.  Mr. Mueller recently worked as a community services officer for the Janesville Police Department.
 
Officer Nicholas A. Sargeant is from Crystal Lake, IL.  He graduated from the University of Wisconsin Whitewater in May 2021 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminology. He will be attending the Blackhawk Technical College Police Academy in August 2021.  Mr. Sargeant completed a summer internship at the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office in the summer of 2020.
 
Officer Charli L. Stanley is from Fond Du Lac, WI.  She graduated from the University of Wisconsin Platteville in May 2021 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Forensic Investigation and Chemistry. She is currently attending the Fox Valley Technical College Police Academy and is scheduled to graduate in October 2021.  Ms. Stanley recently worked as a senior assistant at UW Platteville.
 
Officer Brendan R. Sukus is from Janesville, WI.  He graduated from the Mid-State Technical College in Spring 2021 with an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice. He will be attending the Blackhawk Technical College Police Academy in August 2021.  Mr. Sukus worked as a parking enforcement officer for  UW Stevens Point.
