Princeton couple arrested on child neglect warrants.

On July 26, 2021, at 7:52 a.m. officers from the Gibson County Sheriff’s Office and Princeton Police Department went to the 400 block of West State Street to serve a Felony Neglect Of A Dependent Warrant on 39-year-old Benjamin Sands of Princeton.  Upon arriving at the residence officers attempted to make contact with Mr. Sand, but 31-year-old Christina Pferrer, also of Princeton provided false information to officers in an attempt to hinder their apprehension of Mr. Sands.  At that point officers entered the residence to serve the Felony warrant and apprehended Mr. Sands.  Once Mr. Sands was in custody Ms. Pferrer was also taken into custody and both were transported to the Gibson County Jail.  Mr. Sands is being held on a $750 bond for the Neglect Of A Dependent warrant, and Ms. Pferrer is also being held on a Neglect Of A Dependent warrant as well as a new false informing charge.  Ms. Pferrer’s bond is $1300, and additional charges are being filed on the pair.
 
Arresting Officer was Deputy Jennifer Loesch
Assisting Officers were Princeton Officers Bobby Wood, J.D. Clark, and Jason Swan.  Assisting Sheriff Deputies were Deputy Jennifer Robb and Sgt. Bruce Vanoven.
 
All Criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
