600 block Sweetzer Avenue
07/19/2021 @ 0821. S1 removed a key from an unsecured hallway key box and used the key to enter a vacant apartment. #02937

8900 block Rangley Avenue
07/19/2021 @ 0548. A man removed the window screen from an unlocked window to gain entry and was confronted by the victim in her bedroom. The victim ran from the house and the suspect fled the area. #02968
Armed Robbery (Estes)
9000 block Beverly Blvd
07/19/2021 @ 2340. A man removed two bottles of water and left the store without payment. When confronted outside the store by an employee, the suspect held a taser against the victim’s arm in an attempt to incapacitate him but the device didn’t work. The suspect fled the area on foot. #02925

8500 block Sunset Blvd
07/19/2021 @ 2140-0010. An unknown suspect smashed the rear passenger’s side window and removed a backpack containing a laptop computer, air pods, and sunglasses from the back seat. #02928

Aggravated Assault - Other Weapon (Suspect Arrested)
Hancock Avenue / Santa Monica Blvd
07/24/2021 @ 1515. A man was walking WB on Santa Monica Blvd when the suspect approached him while yelling incoherent statements. The suspect pulled the victim’s metal walking cane from his possession and then hit the victim several times on his back and head with the cane. The suspect was arrested by responding deputies. #02984

07/24/2021 @ 0200-0630. An unknown suspect removed a backpack containing a laptop computer, phone charger, leather jacket, leather belt, and hot spot device from the trunk. No sign of forced entry. #02990
