The National Weather Service in Sterling Virginia has issued a

* Tornado Warning for... Northwestern Anne Arundel County in central Maryland... East central Howard County in central Maryland... South central Baltimore County in northern Maryland...

* Until 530 PM EDT.

* At 459 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Columbia, moving east at 25 mph. HAZARD...Tornado. SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. IMPACT...For those in the direct path of a tornado touchdown, flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Damage to roofs, siding, and windows may occur. Mobile homes may be damaged or destroyed. Tree damage is likely.

* This dangerous storm will be near... Catonsville around 505 PM EDT. Severn, Elkridge and Arbutus around 515 PM EDT. Baltimore-Washington Airport and Pumphrey around 520 PM EDT. Ferndale, Brooklyn Park, Brooklyn Park and South Gate around 525 PM EDT. Glen Burnie and Severna Park around 530 PM EDT. Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include Hanover, Linthicum, Harmans, Ilchester, Halethorpe, Lansdowne, Linthicum Heights, Gambrills and Jessup.
