INCIDENT: Felon in Possession of Ammunition
LOCATION: D Street / Downey Ave, Needles
SUSPECT(S): Martin Hughes, 42 years old male resident of Needles
VICTIM(S): State of California
SUMMARY: On August 1, 2021, at approximately 10:21 p.m., deputies from the Colorado River Station/ Needles Police Department conducted a traffic stop in the area of D Street and Downey Avenue in Needles for vehicle code violations.
The driver, later identified as Martin Hughes, was driving without a license and was also on felony probation. During the investigation, deputies located live ammunition in the vehicle’s center console. Hughes was arrested for PC 30305(a)(1); Felon in Possession of Ammunition, a felony. He was booked into the Colorado River Station Jail on $35,000 bail and is awaiting a court date.
