Sheriff's Office is Actively Accepting Applications for Several Positions.
*Testing August 28th for applicants wanting to be a Deputy Sheriff.  Apply now to be eligible for the test.
The Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for Deputy Sheriff Recruit (Academy Sponsored) position. Our goal is to select highly motivated individuals who are looking to protect and serve the citizens of Calaveras County.  Start a We offer several different assignment options ranging from patrol, Detectives, Narcotics, Marijuana Enforcement Team, Dive Team, SWAT, K-9, School Resource Deputy, Crisis Negotiations, EOD/Bomb Tec, Marine Safety, Search and Rescue, Bike Team and Field Training Deputy. Our patrol schedule is a 12 hour rotating shift working 4 on and 4 days off.  This schedule allows for all deputies to have rotational weekends off regardless of their seniority.  If selected you will receive an hourly wage while attending the POST basic academy starting in mid-February 2022.  Upon graduation you may qualify for the recruitment and relocation incentive.
We will begin the selection process with the written and physical agility test on August 28th, 2021.
We are also accepting applications for Dispatcher, Correctional Officer, Correctional Technician, Deputy Sheriff I (Academy Graduate) and Intern.
