7900 block Santa Monica Blvd (Attempt)
07/26/2021 @ 0529. A man attempted to pry to front door open to gain access but was unsuccessful. #03035
 
Other Burglary
700 block Huntley Drive
07/26/2021 @ 0430. A man broke a lock box and used the key inside to gain access to the building lobby. The suspect removed several unsecured mail packages from the mail room. #03042
 
July 27th
Aggravated Assault - Other Weapon
1000 block Vista Street
07/27/2021 @ 1040. A man removed candy from a display area and left the store without payment. When confronted at the exit by an employee, the suspect pulled a machete from his pocket and swung it at the victim. #03032

07/29/2021 @ 1915. A man punched the victim several times in the face during a rally/protest. The victim suffered a broken nose. #03092

07/29/2021 @ 0500. A man attempted to remove the catalytic converter from a 2005 Honda CRV that was parked on the street but was unsuccessful. #03090

07/29/2021 @ 0457. A man forced the front door open to gain access and removed 9 bottles of champagne from a refrigerator. #03067
 
Other Burglary (Suspect Arrested)
400 block Westmount Drive
07/29/2021 @ 2155. A man removed boards covering the window of a vacant property to gain access. The suspect was arrested by responding deputies. #03081
 
Vehicle Burglary
1200 block Crescent Heights Blvd
07/29/2021 @ 1500-1400 (next day). An unknown suspect smashed the rear passenger’s side window and removed a backpack containing a military flak jacket from the back seat. #03088

07/31/2021 @ 1015. A woman held a bike tool in her hand and lunged at the victim during an argument over money that took place on the sidewalk. S1 was arrested by responding deputies. #03106

07/31/2021 @ 0000-0030. An unknown suspect removed a cell phone from the victim’s purse while inside the club. #03120

07/31/2021 @ 1800. Three men parked their car in the sub parking garage and were exiting their vehicle when five men approached them while armed with a handgun and demanded their property. The victims complied. #03115

08/01/2021 @ 0005. A man was tased on his neck by the suspect after refusing to leave the location and causing a disturbance. #03133

08/01/2021 @ 0650. A man smashed the rear glass door to gain entry and removed miscellaneous clothing items from display areas. #03122
 
Armed Robbery (Estes) (Suspect Arrested)
8500 block Santa Monica Blvd
08/01/2021 @ 2110. A man removed a sweatshirt and 7 CBD products from a display area and attempted to leave the store without payment. When confronted near the exit by an employee, the suspect armed himself with a knife and walked towards the victim. The suspect was allowed to leave the store and was arrested by responding deputies. #03132
