Fatal Traffic Accident
Pursuant to the directive of the Wisconsin Supreme Court, as found in Supreme Court Rule 20:3:6 Trial Publicity, you are advised that a charge is merely an accusation and that a defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
Fatal Traffic Accident 
| On 8/7/21 at 10:46 pm, the Janesville Police and Fire Departments responded to the area of Palmer Dr & S. Main St for a single-vehicle traffic accident. Upon the officer’s arrival, they found the operator of the vehicle unresponsive and pinned in the vehicle. Janesville Paramedics arrived on the scene to assist with patient care. During the patient assessment, it was determined that the patient was deceased. Initial investigation determined the vehicle was west on Palmer Dr passing Rotary Gardens when the driver failed to negotiate the curve. The vehicle left the roadway striking a tree before coming to final rest on the south side of Palmer Dr. Speed is suspected of being a significant contributing factor to the crash. The identity of the driver is not being released pending proper notifications to the family. |
