At approximately 1:00 pm on Sunday, August 8, 2021, Deputies from the Palmdale Sheriff’s Station responded to a solo motorcycle traffic collision on 90^th St. East / Avenue M, Palmdale which is within the incorporated area of the City of Palmdale.
 
The preliminary investigation indicated the victim was driving northbound on 90^th Street East, at approximately 65mph and for unknown reasons, lost control of his 1996 Kawasaki motorcycle and crashed onto the highway. The victim was trapped under the motorcycle and it burst into flames. The victim was flown by helicopter to Antelope Valley Hospital, but succumbed to his injuries in surgery approximately 3 hours later.
