Deputies conduct quality of life proactive enforcement in Muscoy

INCIDENT: Proactive Quality of Life Enforcement
LOCATION: State Street and Adams Street, Muscoy
SUMMARY: On August 6, 2021, deputies from the Sheriff's Central Station conducted proactive enforcement in the area of State Street and Adams Street in Muscoy. Members from the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) and the County of San Bernardino Code Enforcement participated. ABC issued two citations to street vendors for B.P. 23300/ Selling Alcoholic Beverage without a License and B.P. 25351/ Possession of Beverage Subject to Seizure. Code Enforcement issued two San Bernardino County Code citations for S.B.C.C. 82.06.040 / Industrial -Uses and Permit Requirements to land owners and mailed out three additional citations. Deputies issued 17 California Vehicle Code citations, towed two vehicles, and made four arrests. Throughout the late afternoon and evening hours, deputies accompanied Code Enforcement Officers while they contacted and educated 18 street vendors regarding the upcoming Sidewalk Vending Ordinance and Permitting Program.
The safety and welfare of the public is important, therefore, the proactive enforcement was necessary to help restore quality of life for residents in the Muscoy community. Central Station personnel remain highly committed and will continue to work in partnership with the community.
