Kitsap Department of Emergency Management will be operating a cooling center at Poulsbo City Hall Thursday August 12 and Friday August 13 from 2pm to 8pm. Pets in carriers welcome. Our temperatures will be high--please help us keep our neighbors safe and spread the word.
Instructions:
Try to avoid being outdoors in the sun between 10am-4pm. Stay hydrated. Eat and dress light. Never leave children or pets in a vehicle. Stay in a cool place. If you have access to air conditioning, use it. Fans may not be adequate. Consider cancelling outdoor activities during the heat of the day. Use life jackets or flotation devices on the water.
