If you live or work in or near an area of the wildland fire near Lebec, please pay close attention to this message. A wildland fire may become a threat to communities near Lebec. The following area is currently under an Evacuation Warning: Fort Tejon Road south to Powerline Road, between West End Drive east to Interstate 5. An Evacuation Warning means that the Mesa Fire is a potential threat to life and/or property, and all residents are advised to be prepared to leave the area at a moment’s notice if it becomes necessary. Those who require additional time to evacuate, and those with pets and livestock, should leave now. An evacuation area will be opened shortly. Once a location has been established, a followup message will be sent. You should also monitor your local media for updated information about the evacuation.
