Sheriff Richard J. Behnke, reports that on 08/14/2021 at approximately 1921 hours his office was called to investigate a personal injury crash at the intersection of Davis Lake St and M-62 Hwy, Jefferson Township, Cass County Michigan.
Investigation shows that 53-year-old, Cassopolis resident, Princess Evans, was traveling south bound on M-62 Hwy, when a vehicle, driven by a 34yr old Cassopolis Resident, Toni Allen, was traveling west bound on Davis Lake Street.  Allen failed to stop at the stop sign and was struck by Evans. Ms. Evans, Ms. Allen and her three children (2 11 yrs old and 1 2yr old) were transported to South Bend Memorial Hospital for injuries sustained during the crash. Seat belts were worn and a car seat was used. Alcohol and drugs do not appear to be a factor in the crash. Assisting in this crash was Edwardsburg Fire and EMS and Pride Care EMS. The crash remains under investigation.
