On August 14, 2021, at 10:38 p.m. Deputy Brian Naas conducted a traffic stop on a White 1996 Dodge Pickup after observing the vehicle make an unsafe lane movement on US 41 near County Road 350 South.  Upon approaching the vehicle Deputy Naas detected the strong smell of an alcoholic beverage coming from the driver 56-year-old Thomas Hess of Vincennes.  A that point Deputy Naas began a roadside DUI investigation that resulted in Mr. Hess being taken into custody and transported to the Gibson County Jail.  Upon arriving at the jail Mr. Hess was booked in for Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated.  He has since posted a $450 bond.
