SUBJECT:  Motor Vehicle Stop Leads to Narcotics Arrest

LOCATION: Deal Road in Ocean Township     
 
ACCUSED: Philip Blumenthal 56 year old male of Ocean Township, NJ
 
NARRATIVE:   On August 12^th, 2021 at approximately 8:40 pm Officer Dane Richards observed a vehicle traveling on Monmouth Road that committed a motor vehicle violation.  Officer Richards conducted a motor vehicle stop and made contact with the driver, Philip Blumenthal, who was found to be driving without a valid license.  Further investigation revealed that Blumenthal was in possession of heroin and prescription legend drugs without a valid prescription. Blumenthal was placed under arrest and transported to HQ for processing.  Blumenthal was charged with Possession of Heroin and Possession of Oxycodone.  He was released on a criminal summons pending an initial court appearance.
