* At 142 PM EDT, Gauge reports of rainfall between 3 and 5 inches were common across the warned area, and the threat of additional heavy showers will continue this afternoon. Areas of excessive runoff and high water conditions will linger into late afternoon countywide. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Gauges reported. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Clarkesville, Cornelia, Baldwin, Demorest, Mount Airy, Alto, Raoul and Hollywood.
