Inmate Taylor Winegar is back in custody; arrested today in Sioux Falls. He failed to return to Yankton Cmty. Work Center August 16. 
State prison inmate Taylor Winegar is back in custody.
Winegar was arrested in Sioux Falls Aug. 19.
Winegar failed to return to the Yankton Community Work Center Aug. 16 after being allowed to search for work release employment.
Winegar is currently serving concurrent sentences for unauthorized ingestion of a controlled substance and possession of a forged instrument from Codington County and hit and run with injury from Lake County.
Failure to return to custody following an assignment or temporary leave granted for a specific purpose or limited period constitutes second-degree escape, a Class 5 felony
punishable by up to 5 years in prison.
