TS Henri is tracking closer to our area. Montior local weather and be prepared for possible tropical winds Sat/Sun

Sea Girt Borough Alert:

Sea Girt Borough Officials are monitoring Tropical Storm Henri as it is tracking closer to the Jersey Shore than forecasted. Additional shifting to the NW will increase the effect to our area.

The majority of effects from this storm will be Saturday afternoon through Monday.

Pay close attention and monitor local weather stations for the latest update.

High surf and rip currents are already effecting Sea Girt and is expected to increase over the next few days.

Rain 1-1.5" expected during the course of the storm.

Storm surge of 1-2', Surf 5-7' at its highest.

Winds 30-50mph as of todays update.

If visiting the beach or planning to go in the water - expect rough surf management and restricitions due to conditions. NEVER swim, surf or body board when Lifeguards are off duty and you should NEVER swim, surf or bodyboard alone. Check in with Lifeguards prior to entering for conditions and the safest area to enter. Follow ALL Lifeguard direction at all times.
