* Flood Advisory for... Eastern Mercer County in central New Jersey... Monmouth County in central New Jersey... Middlesex County in northern New Jersey... Northern Ocean County in southern New Jersey...
* Until 1245 AM EDT.
* At 935 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to showers and thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include... New Brunswick, Perth Amboy, Long Branch, Asbury Park, Sandy Hook, Somerset, Edison, Lakewood, Middletown, Old Bridge, Howell, and East Brunswick. This includes the following highways... New Jersey Turnpike between exits 8A and 13. Interstate 195 in New Jersey between mile markers 22 and 34. Interstate 287 in New Jersey between mile markers 0 and 10. Garden State Parkway between mile markers 92 and 134.

Instructions:
Keep children away from storm drains, culverts, creeks, and streams. Water levels can rise rapidly and sweep children away. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
