Sheriff Richard J. Behnke of the Cass County Sheriff's Office reports that on August 23rd at approximately 0326 hours, deputies were called out to a personal injury traffic crash in the area of M-62 Hwy and Sink Rd in Cass County's Silver Creek Township. Investigation shows that the driver Enrique Aguirre (22 year old Dowagiac, MI resident) was driving east bound when he left the roadway overturning his vehicle multiple times. He was ejected from the vehicle. Enrique succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. A seat belt was not worn in this crash and alcohol was not believed to be a factor. The crash remains under investigation.
