Summerside turned himself in to the Beadle County Jail Aug. 22. He left a housing unit for minimum-security inmates in Huron Aug. 17 without authorization.
Summerside is currently serving concurrent sentences for possession of a controlled substance and failure to appear from Lawrence County.
