Subject: Release of video footage of suspicious circumstances involving a stolen vehicle.
Campbell, CA – On August 22, 2021, at around 2:50 pm, Campbell Police responded to a report of a male and female involved in an altercation outside of a van stopped in the middle of the roadway in the area of West Campbell Avenue and La Vonne Drive. The van was reported stolen out of San Jose. Officers responded to the area, located the van, and attempted to stop it. The van fled at a high rate of speed and was last seen northbound on Winchester Boulevard.
Officers interviewed witnesses in the area who heard the female yelling “I don’t want to get in” and “I hate you,” while struggling with the male and eventually being forced back into the vehicle.
The male suspect, and driver of the van, is described as a black male adult, approximately 30 years old, bald head, wearing a bright blue t-shirt and dark-colored jeans.
The female is described as a white female adult, mid-twenties, wearing a gray tank top and grey shorts.
The van is a 2019 white Ford transit van with a California license plate number: 04135W2. The van has logos on both sides “Gijon Logistics, Inc” in black lettering. The Van was reported stolen to San Jose Police Department on August 21, 2021, and was taken from a Home Depot parking lot.
The Campbell Police Department received video footage of the incident this afternoon and posted it on our Youtube channel https://youtu.be/NyFAbN41rOM . As of the release of this footage, the involved parties and stolen vehicle are still outstanding.
