The National Weather Service in Northern Indiana has issued a
* Flood Advisory for... De Kalb County in northeastern Indiana... Southern Steuben County in northeastern Indiana... Northwestern Defiance County in northwestern Ohio... Southwestern Williams County in northwestern Ohio...
* Until 600 AM EDT.
* At 238 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include... Auburn, Angola, Garrett, Montpelier, Hicksville, Butler, Waterloo, Edgerton, Hamilton, Edon, St. Joe, Edgerton In Williams County, Columbia, Concord, Ashley, Farmer, Newville, Hudson, Corunna and Altona. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
* AFFECTED AREAS: DE KALB, IN ... STEUBEN, IN ... DEFIANCE, OH ... WILLIAMS, OH
Instructions:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
