Wanted Fugitives Arrested: Andrew Franklin Hodge and Roger Gene Cook 
On July 28, 2021, the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Apprehension Team (C.A.T) was made aware of warrants issued for Mr. Andrew Franklin Hodge for MURDER. The Criminal Apprehension Team, along with the North Carolina State Bureau Investigation (NCSBI), began a long investigation into the whereabouts of Mr. Hodge. After numerous tips, interviews and case work, the Rutherford County Criminal Apprehension Team contacted Gainesville Police Department and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) who quickly took Mr. Hodge into custody on August 13, 2021.
On August 25, 2021, and after an extensive investigation, Mr. Roger Gene Cook was arrested by Gainesville Police Department and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) for outstanding warrants for Parole Violation and Conspiracy to Traffic Methamphetamine. The Criminal Apprehension Team was assigned to locate Mr. Cook on July 6, 2021. Since that date, C.A.T. and the NCSBI have worked closely together to help locate Mr. Cook.
Both individuals are currently in the custody of law enforcement officials in Florida and will be extradited back to Rutherford County.
