On August 22, 2021, the Forest City Police Department requested the assistance of the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Apprehension Team (C.A.T) in locating Mr. Jockieve Marcel Edwards. Edwards had outstanding warrants for his arrest for Assault with a Deadly Weapon with the Intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Injury, 8 counts of Assault With a Deadly Weapon With the Intent to Kill, and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.
 

Once the Criminal Apprehension Team was requested, team members began an extensive investigation to locate the whereabouts of Mr. Edwards. On August 25, 2021, the Criminal Apprehension Team, along with the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit, took Mr. Edwards into custody without incident on Vance Price Road in Forest City.
 
Edwards received a bond of $500,500.00 and is currently in the Rutherford County Detention Center.
