The library is currently OPEN at the east entrance off Cook Street from 9-6 Mon-Fri and 9-5 Sat.

Asbestos mitigation will begin on August 30, and library staff will be out of the building for approximately two weeks. Here’s how to reach us and pick up your holds: 

• Visit the library in our tent on our east lawn. Special thanks to the LG Fire Department for setting up a tent for us to use! You can pick up holds and return items here. Hours will be 9am-6pm Mon-Fri and 9am-5pm Saturday. In case of inclement weather, library staff will move to City Hall.
   
• Browsing our collection in the Smith Meeting Room will be unavailable until approximately September 13. After asbestos abatement is complete, we will be back in the meeting room to allow browsing and hold pickup. 
   
• Library staff will continue hosting pop up libraries at City Hall, Avant Bicycle Cafe, Central Denison, the YMCA, and other locations. Check our Facebook page and website for upcoming events.

The library's capital campaign finishes on September 1, and we are thrilled to announce we have exceeded our $500,000 goal with pledges of  over $670,000 received. We are still accepting donations to help with the increases in construction and materials and for additional new furniture.
