Update:
The number of damaged vehicles in the borough has risen above 40 and still climbing as owners are continuing to discover the damage.  Three adult males (one in their 40's, the other two in their 20's) were arrested early this morning after numerous residents alerted police without delay of the suspects direction of travel and description.  The suspect's vehicle was a red in color Volkswagen sedan with the rear window smashed out, bearing Virginia registration plates.  The suspects have been implicated in criminal mischief of vehicles spanning three counties (Dauphin, Lebanon & Lancaster) within the last couple of days.  Anyone having information or video of the incidents is requested to contact the Middletown Borough Police at 717-558-6900 or can submit a tip.

On August 26th 2021 at approximately 01:00AM the Middletown Borough Police were notified of a red vehicle driving down North Pine Street in the Borough breaking car windows with a baseball bat. Police were able to locate the vehicle and apprehend 3 individuals but unfortunately not before damage was done to at-least 30 vehicles. It appears the incident was isolated from North Pine Street east to Hoffer Street and from Main Street south to Emaus Street. If you live in that area please check your vehicles for damage. We suspect there will be more damage to vehicles and want everyone to report their damage.
