Bank Robbery Suspect Arrested
Suspect: Torresvalencia, Victor 46-year old male (In-custody)
On Thursday, August 26th, 2021, at approximately 09:15 AM, Redwood City Police Officers responded to Wells Fargo Bank, located at 1900 Broadway on a report of an in-progress robbery. The suspect, described as a male wearing a Giants jersey, mask, and sunglasses, gave the bank teller a note demanding money. Fearing for their safety, the teller provided the suspect with the money. The suspect fled on foot and was last seen walking southbound on Broadway. Redwood City Officers located the suspect in the 1700 block of Broadway and detained him. He was identified as Victor Torresvalencia and was positively identified by bank employees as the suspect. The money was recovered on his person. Torresvalencia was arrested and booked into the San Mateo County Jail for robbery.
