On 08/23/21 the Frankfort Police Department responded to a deceptive practice scam occurring in the area of LaGrange Road and Lincoln-Way Lane. In this incident the suspects engaged the victim in conversation while stopped in traffic. The suspects related they worked for a car dealership and offered to fix a dent on the victim's vehicle.  The victim pulled over and agreed to pay a requested amount for the repair.  An unknown white substance was put over the dent, which later washed away, and did not repair the dent as promised.  The suspect vehicle was a blue Dodge Caravan (pictured).  This vehicle was reportedly approaching others regarding dent repairs in other jurisdictions.  
 
Remember, if you are unsure if something is a scam, please call the Frankfort Police Department.  Never provide personal information if you did not initiate the contact and know that legitimate businesses, government entities, and organizations do not ask for gift cards as a form of payment.
