Storm Ida Preparations 
The projected landfall for Tropical Storm Ida is to hit the Louisiana coastline. However, in the event the storm's path changes to a more westerly path and threatens the Coastal Bend, Public Works crews will be giving out sandbags at the Public Works Office on Sunday morning from 8 am to 12:00 pm. Eight sandbags will be given to each household and will have to be filled with sand by the customer. The crews will only be on site at the Public Works office if the landfall projection is changed to hit the coastal bend. If the storm continues on the current projection to Louisiana, the City will not be handing out sandbags.
