On August 26, 2021 (Thursday) at approximately 08:23 AM, personnel from Palmdale Sheriff’s Station responded to a person down call for service on the corner of Palmdale Boulevard/5th Street East (which is within the incorporated area of the City of Palmdale). During our investigation, it was determined that the female adult was struck by a vehicle and the driver fled the scene.
The preliminary facts of this investigation indicate a dark colored small SUV was driving east on Palmdale Boulevard and collided with a female pedestrian who was walking south across Palmdale Boulevard. The female pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
Anyone with information regarding the collision is encouraged to call Palmdale Station’s Traffic Department at 661-272-2400. The investigation is ongoing.
