Full Notification

As a result of continued utility construction on Oakland Road between Hecktown Road and Princeton Place (just west of the Northampton Community College South entrance) a revised traffic detour and closure will take effect on Monday, August 30, 2021 at 8:00 AM. 
 

• At 8:30 AM Oakland Road will become an “ACTIVE WORK ZONE”, commuters will be subject to potential long delays as a result of flagging control to a single lane.
• Oakland Road will close to through traffic at 9:00 AM, and remain open to only emergency vehicles and residents residing on Oakland Road.
• The road will reopen at 2:30 PM and again close at 3:30 PM.  During this time it will be an “ACTIVE WORK ZONE”, commuters will be subject to potential long delays as a result of flagging control to a single lane.
• Oakland Road will again close at 3:30 PM, remaining open to emergency vehicles and residents residing on Oakland Road until 6:00 PM.
• Saturday work may begin on September 13^th 2021, details to follow at a later date.
• Dartmouth Drive will remain an active detour route, posted by the Bethlehem Township Police.  Active Zone Schedule is: Monday through Friday 8:00 AM through 5:00 PM.
