Police activity in the area of 95th Street N.W. 1st Avenue. Police Involved Shooting. Avoid area. 
At approximately 4:15 pm this afternoon, Miami Shores Police Officers responded to a disturbance call at 68 N.W. 95th Street.
The initial arriving officer encountered an adult female exiting the residence with what appeared to be a semi-automatic handgun.
During the encounter, the deceased female pointed the weapon at the officer. The officer discharged his firearm striking and killing the adult female.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is on-scene and conducting the investigation.
No other injuries were reported to any other individuals.
