The Flash Flood Watch is now in effect for
* Portions of Delaware...northeast Maryland...and New Jersey... including the following areas...in Delaware...Kent and New Castle. In northeast Maryland...Kent MD and Queen Annes. In New Jersey... Atlantic, Atlantic Coastal Cape May, Camden, Cape May, Coastal Atlantic, Coastal Ocean, Cumberland, Eastern Monmouth, Gloucester, Northwestern Burlington, Ocean, Salem, Southeastern Burlington, and Western Monmouth.
* From Wednesday morning through Thursday morning.
* The remnants of Hurricane Ida will pass through the region Wednesday through early Thursday morning. Periods of heavy rain and scattered thunderstorms associated with this low will result in widespread 2 to 4 inches of rain with locally higher amounts by Thursday morning. Combined with wet antecedent conditions, this will lead to instances of flash flooding.
* Flooding of creeks, streams, urban areas, and poor drainage areas is possible. Water is likely to cover the roads, especially in low-lying areas. Roads and structures near rivers may be flooded.
